u Prof. Jacob Chih-Ching Huang has continuously worked on metallic materials (Al, Mg, Ti and bulk metallic glasses) for many years. He has won the Distinguished Scholar Project Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) three times (19992001 and 2011) owing to his consistent outstanding research. In 2014, he was bestowed with the highest research award, the National Chair Professorship. Selected awards are shown below:

u Prof. Pouyan Shen won the Distinguished Scholar Project Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the NSYSU Chair Professorship for his advanced Brownian motion and Condensate research.

u Prof. Mitch M. C. Chou won the Award for Outstanding Contributions in Science and Technology from the Executive Yuan for the specialized crystal growth technique.
u Additionally, Prof. Mitch M. C. Chou was rewarded with the Distinguished Scholar Project Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2011. 
u Prof. Liuwen Chang won the Award for Outstanding Contributions in Science and Technology from the Executive Yuan in 2009 for his work on electric steel for high efficiency motors. This is the highest scientific award in Taiwan.
u Prof. Shiao-Wei Kuo won the 1st Scopus Young Researcher Award in Taiwan (2014).
